Daily Devotional 6/10/26

The Greek word that is translated “pertain to” means “forward to”. It contains the idea of toward. The life that we are given by Christ Jesus is one that is supposed to constantly choose life. We are constantly called to bring life into the world. There are going to be many things we are tempted to do today. Some of those things we feel we need to do; we should not do them. They are going to be things that lead away from the life that Jesus is calling us to. They are going to be things that lead away from living out the Gospel. They are going to be things that lead away from living out of agape love. Moving forward and toward something takes intention on our part. Jesus has shown us the way and given us the power through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Today, may we allow the life and love of Jesus move us more towards showing forgiveness, love, mercy and peace to others and ourselves.
