Psalm 90:17 (NKJV): And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.
Recently we had to replace part of the fence in the backyard. It was so old it was starting to fall apart. There were little gaps in the fence. It was brittle and if you bumped it wrong, the boards would pop off. The one thing that was still good about it was that it was still all perpendicular. It had not gotten so bad that it was misshapen. There are times in my life that you could say the same about me. There are times where I get a little worn down but not bent out of shape. There have been times in my life that I have fallen down. The LORD our God was there to set me upright. The LORD our God is always there to set us upright when we fall over. The LORD our God is always there to show us compassion and love. The LORD our God is always there to give us strength and guidance. The LORD our God is always there to give us a supporting hand. Today, are we willing to accept the help of the LORD our God and start living in the love and power that is so freely given?
